Tata Steel International is a Tata business unit functioning as a global supply chain service business, focused around steel, and working closely with Tata Steel mills as well as other quality producers. Tata Steel International specializes in arranging product and service packages for major contractors, fabricators, engineers, and end users throughout the world. Tata Steel International's sales volume is approximately eight million tonnes per year channeled through 69 sales offices in 48 countries.
Tata Steel’s American operations are based in Schaumburg (Chicago), Illinois, USA with additional commercial operations in Houston, Texas; Monterrey, Mexico; and Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. We focus on a number of areas:
- Mill Sales: representing Tata Steel mills in North and South America and providing seamless, local commercial and technical services for customers. Offering tailored JIT delivery programs, including fast-response distribution of sections, plates, and special-section bulb flats from Houston, for OEMs and intermediary processors.
- Global Projects: providing custom-packaged procurement, financing, and logistics services for the construction, energy, offshore, and shipbuilding sectors.
- Global Positioning: connecting a diverse range of specialized, non-group supply sources with targeted customers by way of Tata Steel International’s global sales network.
