Narrow Strip produces precision strip products tailored to specific needs of customers in many market sectors. Our range of steel grades from low carbon and free-cutting steels to high carbon, alloy and stainless steels offer varying strength, formability, durability and hardness properties to suit the requirements of varying end applications.

Our narrow steel strip products include:
- Alloy grades – additions like Manganese, Chromium, Vanadium, Nickel, Silicon, and Tungsten create specific properties for different applications.
Typical Applications: Cutting saws, knives, lock parts, golf club shafts, clutch components. - Boron grades – addition of Boron gives excellent hardenability. Q&T toughening offers improved weldability and cold formability.
Typical Applications: Shovels, harrow discs, mower blades, agricultural knives, chain side plates - Free-cutting steels – highly machinable low carbon steels with controlled hardness and ductility.
Typical Applications: Keys, contact boards, parts requiring rapid metal removal - High-strength, low alloy grades (HSLA) – HYPRESS® steels offer excellent strength to weight ratios and good formability and weldability.
Typical Applications: Seat-reclining mechanisms, scaffold clips, seat slides, seat-belt pre-tensioners, pipe couplings - Medium to High carbon grades – offered with a wide range of yield and tensile strengths. Higher carbon levels give greater hardness and abrasion resistance.
Typical Applications: Garden tools, toe caps, washers, machetes, plane blades, files and cutting tools, ice skate blades - Stainless steels – Martensitic, ferritic and austensitic grades are offered with excellent hardness and corrosion resistance.
Typical Applications: Chemical filters, food-processing knives, cutlery, scissors, surgical and razor blades.
